Yass FM studios are temporarily closed due to safety measures that have been put in place in Victoria Park.
A large tree on the fence line of the Studio and the Yass Swimming Pool has sustained some root damage, and Yass Valley Council has set up a temporary safety exclusion zone that includes parts of the Pool, the Studio, and the oval ring-road.
Council tells us that a specialist arborist will inspect the tree later this week to check its stability. In the meantime, our presenters are taking a short break, although remote broadcasting is possible so the music can continue.
